Course Content:
Bauhaus-University Weimar is hosting each year an international workshop for graduate students of stuctural engineering from all over the world. This comprehensive summer course introduces students to advanced analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, assessment of existing structures, linear and non-linear, static and dynamic structural analysis, constitutive modeling in geotechnics as well as computer aided design and engineering. An important part of the course are hands-on exercises which will lead students through complex solution processes. This will enable students to understand and apply the concepts as presented in their further professional career. Personal discussions with professors and research associates during and after classes will bring best benefits to all participants.

Graduate students in structural engineering or related fields
Entry Requirements: Good English language proficiency

40 (approx.)
Registration Deadline:

Course Fees:
EUR 200,- (on request financial support possible)
Board and Lodging:
Accommodation in student dormitory
Supporting Programme/ Leisure Activities:
Guided city tours in Weimar and Erfurt, excursions to construction sites, cultural and social events
Additional Information:
On request, the student´s achievement are evaluated by a final exam. Participants can earn 7 university credits under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
